Introduction to Art

Mon. - Thu. - Continue working on your Chuck Close projects.


Art 8

Mon. - Thu. - Continue working on your sculpture projects. Students will need to use their Christmas break to research their sculpture and type a 1-2 page paper on the history of their sculpture. Students will have a handout.


Beginning Painting

Mon. - Continue and finish your Macro Leaves.
Tue. - 1 and 2 point perspective lesson (all class)
Wed. - Oil painting review. Practice in class and research cityscapes.
Thu. - Research and discuss ideas with teacher.


Crafts

Mon. - Thu. - Continue your plaster ornaments.

Week 16 Dec. 13-17

Introduction to Art

Mon. - Fri. - Students will continue working on their Chuck Close portraits and will learn about grid drawing, chalk pastels, shading, abstract shapes and other materials.


Art 8

Mon. - Fri. - Students will learn about materials usage, storage and safety. They will start sculpting their projects.


Beginning Painting

Mon. - Fri. - Students will continue working on their Macro Leaf projects.


Crafts

Mon. - Fri. - Students will finish up their Woodburnings and will continue the process of making a mold in clay and pouring plaster.

Week 15 Dec. 6-10

Introduction to Art

Mon. - Finish self-portraits
Tue. - New project intro. Chuck Close portraits. We will be watching a video on the artist and also reading an article on the artist. You will be required to write a summary 5x5 in class.
Wed. - Fri. - Start grid drawing your matteboard and picture to get your portrait proportionally correct.


Art 8

Mon. - Wed. - Continue working on your Google projects.
Thu. - New project intro. through a power point presentation.
Fri. - Materials demonstration and start sculpting your project.


Beginning Painting

Mon. - Fri. - Continue working on your Macro leaves project.


Crafts

Mon. - Fri. - Finish your Woodburning projects. Start your plaster ornament project by researching pictures and carving your clay.
