Mon. - Students will continue to work on their clay relief carving. When finished, they will make a pinch pot.

Crafts

Mon. - Extra day to work on birdhouse, because of assembly last friday. Due today!

Mon. - If not finished with color triangle, then work on it. The rest of the class will start prep. for the planet mural.

Week 5 - Sept. 22-26

Basic Art

Mon. - Students will be working on their window drawings for the window painting project.
Tue. - Same
Wed. - If finished, they are to work on scratch art for extra credit.
Thu. - Introduction to the new project. Stippling Hands Collage
Fri. - Window drawings are due today at end of period. When finished they are to start the stippling project.

Art 8

Mon. - If students are done with their window drawings, they will start their clay project. They need a drawing of an animal so they can carve into clay.

Thu. - same. Late deadline for the window drawings is today.
Fri. - same

Crafts

All week - Students will be working on their birdhouses. When finished with construction, they will paint their birdhouses and add extra details.

Painting

Mon. - Students will be working on their color triangles. At this point all students should be working on their grayscale background.
Tue. - same
Wed. - If finished with color triangle, then start the planet mural.
Thu. - Color triangle or planet mural.

Week 4 Sept. 15 - 19

Basic Art

Mon. - Finish critique of abstract drawings.
Tue. - Writing assignment in class. Critique one drawing from the board covering all subject areas. (rendering, shading, composition, presentation)
Wed. - Work on window drawings
Thu., Fri. - window drawings


Art 8

Mon. - Work on window drawings. All students should be starting their final color copy.
Tue., Wed. - window drawings, final copy
Thu. - Window drawings due! Clay introduction for next project.
Fri. - We will go over clay relief. Also work on animal sketches for project.


Crafts

Mon. - Birdhouse construction

Thu. - All students should be starting to paint and decorate their birdhouses.

Painting

Mon. - Color Triangle. All students should be starting the grayscale background

Week 3 - Sept. 8 - 12

Basic Art

Mon. - Start finishing drawings and frame them. Post on bulletin board when finished. Then start your "window painting" drawings. Must have coal mining/halloween theme.

Wed. - "Macro" drawings due at end of class. Work on window drawings.

Thu. - Work on window drawings

Fri. - Same as Thursday


Art 8

Mon. - Work on window drawings.

Tue. - Work on window drawings.

Wed. - All should be starting final color copy.

Crafts

Mon. - Window Drawings due at end of period. Start sketch of what you want your birdhouse to look like.

Tue. - Start construction of popsicle stick birdhouse.

Wed., Thu., Fri., - Birdhouse construction.


Painting

Mon. - Work on color triangle. All students should be painting the tertiary colors.

Tue. - Color triangle. When finished paint the background with either a custom design or picture, as long as it doesn't interfere with the triangle colors.

Thu., Fri., - Paint background of color triangle.

Week 2 - Sept. 2 - 5

Basic Art
Mon. - No School
Tue. - Students will work on their abstract drawings of an object of their choosing.
Wed., Thu. - Same
Fri. - Frame/Matte drawings and hang up to critique.

Tue. - Students will work on window drawings with a coal mining theme.

Fri. - Students will start their final copies in colored pencil.
