Week 1 Aug. 30 - Sept. 3

Introduction to Art

Mon. - Introductions and synopsis. Students will pick an object and draw it to the best of their ability.
Tue. - We, as a class, will critique the students' drawings. Students will then be given a shading demonstration and will be asked to do a shading exercise.
Wed. - We will continue the shading exercise and students will be asked to draw another object using the knowledge they were just given.
Thu. - Students will continue drawing their new object.
Fri. - same


Art 8

Mon. - Introductions and synopsis. Students will learn about the color wheel and theory.
Tue. - Students will start designing their color wheel and start coloring their primary colors with watercolor pencils.
Wed. - Secondary and tertiary color mixing demonstration. Students will mix their colors on their color wheel.
Thu. - same
Fri. - Complementary color mixing demo. Students work on color wheel.


Beginning Painting

Mon. - Powerpoint presentation. Start color triangle design.
Tue. - Continue and finish your triangle design and start painting your primary colors.
Wed. - Secondary and tertiary color mixing demo. Students paint their project.
Thu. - Fri. - same


Crafts

Mon. - Powerpoint presentation. Start sketching designs for your themed birdhouse.
Tue. - Gluing and cutting demonstration. Finish sketches and start construction.
Wed. - Fri. - same
