Week 12 Nov. 15-19

Introduction to Art

Mon. - no school
Tue. - Wed. - Paint your hands with oil paint.
Thu. - Self-Portrait lesson introduction. Students will learn about the portrait diagram and will draw a face to those standards. Students need to bring in a picture of themselves for the self-portrait project.
Fri. - Students will start drawing their own self-portrait.


Art 8

Mon. - no school
Tue. - Last day for students to finish their color wheel.
Wed. - Shading exercise with analogous colors.
Thu. - Google Project introduction. Students start sketching and brainstorming ideas for their drawing.
Fri. - same


Beginning Painting

Mon. - no school
Tue. - Fri. - Finish landscape paintings and start Marco leaf project. Must have picture to begin painting.


Crafts

Mon. - no school
Tue. - Fri. - Students continue working on their wood-burning welcome signs. They will also learn about watercolor painting on wood.

Week 11 Nov. 8-12

Introduction to Art

Mon. - Fri. - Students will continue to work on their hands drawings by using the stippling technique. Project is due on Friday!


Art 8

Mon. - Students will have a secondary and tertiary color mixing demonstration for their color wheel project. Students finish their primary colors and start mixing their secondary colors.
Tue. - Wed. - Same
Thu. - We will have a complementary color mixing demo. Students will start coloring their complementary colors in the right places. We will also review for the quiz, briefly.
Fri. - Color wheel quiz first! Finish your coloring of the color wheel.


Beginning Painting

Mon. - Fri. - Continue and finish your landscape paintings. Due Friday!


Crafts

Mon. - Fri. - Students will continue their woodburning signs. Students must shade with the woodburner. When you are done woodburning, you will paint the surrounding areas with watercolor paint.
